An Enjoyable Experience for Your Dog
I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals over the years from horses, cat and dogs down to hamsters, rabbits, snakes and many others along the way!
I’ve gained knowledge and skills in many animal related disciplines and promote an enjoyable learning experience for all our owners/handlers and dogs.
Kind and Positive Training
I attended Houghall College in East Durham which was a fantastic experience. I studied many aspects of animal care, from de-horning the farm calves, lambing and working with pigs on the farming side.
We were also lucky enough to bring our dogs to college!
Agility Training & Film
While studying at college my weekends were taken up competing in dog agility. We would train over the winter months and, in the summer, travel throughout the UK to competitions where I also had the privilege of judging agility competitions.
I would also take my dogs to regular obedience classes with my local dog club. I was also given the opportunity to travel to Ireland to help with the production of a film about a racing greyhound ‘Man about Dog’.
How It All Started!
After leaving college I started working for a local bank and it was while I was here that I was approached by a dog walking company called Petnanny. This was the beginning of my role as a dog walker and pet carer! After spending sometime with them and after moving to a different part of the north east, I decided to set up Town and Country Canine right here in beautiful Northumberland.
